I had an interesting thing happen. A gal works in the office with me. She has a really bad attitude that was getting on my nerves. So, back in the summer she had an especially bad day of it. In my coping with it, I wrote a poem about it telling the reverse of the situation. I named it Attitude. The first line is: Such a plesant and cheerful attitude.
A month or two later, I got information about a poetry contest, so I sent it in. The other day, I got a "Editor's Choice Award" in the mail. They want to publish it in their book of poems. It is among their 33 top poems and so they want to record it on a CD of their top poems!
Wow... all that just because of her! You just never know.
Over the past few years I have worked for a mid sized company in the Omaha area. We have been awarded several different awards within the community. It's a nice feeling to receive recognition for your hard work!
